Dear Visitor,
Thank you for taking a few moments to view PCSGDQE’s website! We invite you to look around and browse through our history, mission and purpose statements, prior Commission recommendations and projects, and events schedule.
As we begin the 2009-2010 academic year, PCSGDQE is working hard to improve Emory for all the people that the Commission represents. PCSGDQE exists to research matters on campus relevant to the LGBT community, to act as a catalyst when possible to further the growth of programs that serve the community, and to advise the President and other members of the University administration on matters important to LGBT people at Emory.
Major goals of the Commission for the next 10 months include examining the parity of healthcare benefits for faculty, staff, and students across the University, exploring ways to encourage continuation and further development of areas of study on campus considered as Queer Scholarship, and working with other President’s Commissions to ensure the continued vitality of all people across the incredible place we know as Emory.
We believe that the work of PCSGDQE is important for everyone at Emory, as well as for the overall continuing success of the University.
All PCSGDQE regular meetings are open to the public, and any member of the Emory community may attend. We welcome and encourage input from everyone at Emory regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Yours sincerely,
